Two optional beam splitters, one for video, one for digital photography, are available and allow the attachment of consumer market digital cameras.

The BP 900 slit lamp is ideal for non-ophthalmologists in emergency rooms. Video may be fitted through a built-in video port (C-mount). Standard magnification is 10 and 16x times – through the flip of a lever placed just beneath the microscope.
